Service Description

Math can be a scary subject for many students because it’s one that they rarely get to experience and “feel” in the same way as they may in everyday conversation with language or when observing an experiment in science class. CLC tutors unlock the practical applications of mathematical computation and modeling, while presenting foundational building blocks of mathematical theory to give students the confidence to succeed. Our tutors are especially trained and supervised by the director, Mrs. Patricia Felton, to create a personalized learning approach for each student’s scientific development. Tutors are trained to concentrate on guiding students through an introduction of foundational scientific concepts in the following per grade level curriculum subtopics: linear equations and inequalities in one variable, exponential equations in one variable, characteristics of linear and exponential functions, solving systems of equations and inequalities in two variables, descriptive statistics, quadratic relationships, solving quadratic equations, and identifying function families.
