    The ASVAB is a vocational aptitude test that evaluates the student’s potential for further formal education. It also assesses aptitude in vocational-technical career fields, preferably (though not necessarily) in a military environment. CLC has developed a five-session, comprehensive prep class that covers all of the exam’s content, as well as strategies for taking any standardized test and managing your time effectively.

    Diagnostic Testing


    One of CLC's specialties is educational diagnostic testing, which we personalize for each student. By using nationally standardized assessments, administered by a certified psychologist or educational diagnostician, CLC can determine individual learning requirements, grade equivalents, specific subject weaknesses and strengths, and the learning style that will be most effective for each student.

    “e-Learning” means to study or train while on a computer and/or connected to the Internet. It is used extensively to train staff in the online environment. CLC has partnered with Learn.com, a Learning Management System (LMS) that seamlessly and holistically delivers over 34,000 titles to meet your training neecs. Together our companies can provide all our respective clients with targeted, on-site CD/DVD instruction.

    Effective Writing


    In an effort to improve all forms of written communication, Certified Learning Centers has developed an Effective Writing course suitable for business, government, and military personnel. The course is tailored to the background and experience of the students, and it not only teaches them the fundamentals of effective writing, but it provides the practice and the organizational skills necessary to expand beyond them.

    Praxis I


    Students applying to a teaching program must take the Praxis I exam to be considered for admission. Once they have graduated and want to teach in one or more specialty areas, they also need to take the Praxis II Specialty (or Subject) Area exams, one for each area, in order to become certified. We tailor our Praxis Preparatory Class programs to each individual state’s curriculum requirements for the content areas being taught, as well as to the needs of the individual students.

        * General and SAT-specific test-taking strategies
        * All areas of Verbal, Critical Reading, and Mathematics content
        * All aspects of the NEW Writing Section

    In addition, a Diagnostic Test at the beginning of the course allows students to determine their strong and weak areas, and instructors use this information to tailor the homework assignments to the individual student's needs. A Post-Test at the end of the course provides students with the opportunity to implement all the strategies they have learned, as well as to take an exam under "actual" conditions.
