Navy Enlisted Rate Exam Prep
Any enlisted sailor seeking advancement to E-4, E-5, E-6, or E-7 must take the Navy Enlisted Rate Exam. The exam covers both rate-specific material and Basic Military Requirements (BMR, now called PMK, for Professional Military Knowledge), the individual’s general knowledge of the military, its practices, and its history. The sheer volume of material required to review for this exam is staggering, and many people need help organizing, processing, and retaining the information it contains.
Session Teaching Schedule
CLC’s Navy Enlisted Rate Exam Preparatory Course is a 32-hour class, taught in four 8-hour sessions by a Navy Master Chief or a serviceman of equivalent rank. The study skills portion of the course uses the BMR manual and other Navy materials as text for practical application of the strategies taught during the sessions.
