We offer this course in two formats, with a third (online) to come:


First Format - Live Instruction

This three-day, nine-hour course utilizes assessment testing (both page-and-ink and computer-based) to establish current speed and comprehension rates. It reinforces the new techniques with both classroom and at-home exercises.

Each class is tailored to the level and background of the students, who are encouraged to bring their own material with them to help foster discussion of appropriate reading techniques.

Second Format - Boxed Set

Do you want to take a speed reading course but can't make it to any of our locations?

This self-instruction course covers the same material as our live-instruction class, but students work through the material on their own. E-mail support is available with an "on call" Instructor, and students are encouraged to send in their questions, even after the course is through.

As with the live-instruction class, individuals usually double to triple their current reading speed by the end of the three sessions; increase their reading rate even further as they continue to practice; and increase their long-term retention.

This comprehensive package includes:

* The Speed Reading Student Guide. This is the primary text for the course, and it contains many of the "in-class" and homework exercises students need to complete.
* The Course Lectures. Divided into three separate sessions, this Power Point presentation guides the individual, step by step, through the process of becoming a speed reader.
* The AceReader Pro Software. Specifically designed to reinforce all the speed reading techniques covered in the body of the course, this program also helps students transition from paper-page reading to reading from a computer screen.
* Unlimited Support. Self-instruction doesn't mean you're alone in the process; an Instructor is always available by e-mail for help.


Third Format – Online

CLC is currently developing a Web-based course that will allow students from all over the world to log in to the class at the same time. Check back periodically on this site for more information, particularly the Announcements page; we will post new course information there.
